Summer Luxury Fashion Brands

Warmer weather is always an excuse to explore new styles and labels.

There are plenty of luxury labels that can turn your summer vision into reality from summer dresses to beachwear and sandals to stylish eyewear.

If you don’t have a summer vision, don’t worry - we’ve got you covered.

We know it can be hard finding outfits for your summer wardrobe, so we’ve rounded up some of the best luxury fashion brands for the season.

We’ll be mentioning the spring/ summer collections by Chanel, Prada, Versace, and other quality brands, so keep reading to find out more!

Chanel

Chanel is known for its smart fashionable Chanel suit, the iconic Chanel No.5 perfume, and its little black dress.

Due to the current climate, luxury brand Chanel switched things up last year and launched a digital-only presentation of its summer collection names Balade en Méditerranée’, which translates to a trip around the Mediterranean.

The collection featured lightweight, bright, and modern variations of the classic Chanel suit and sequined bikini tops, halter neck tops, and flowing kimonos, which is ideal for days soaking up the sun on a sandy beach or by the poolside.

The 2021 spring-summer collection certainly met expectations with pastel colours, delicate patterns, fluid dresses, and daring asymmetry.

Featuring lightweight jackets, colourful shirts and delicate crop tops, this collection can ease the transition from spring to summer.

Earlier this year, Chanel launched a new beauty app called Lipscanner, which uses facial recognition and augmented reality to allow you to try on the brand’s wide range of lipsticks.

This app makes finding the perfect shade to match your summer wardrobe easier than ever.

Gucci

Gucci is one of the oldest and most popular Italian brands still in operation.

Founded in 1921 by Guccio Gucci, the fashion label has become one of the most influential in the world, with designs worn by celebrities across the globe.

Like many other famous fashion brands, Gucci didn’t start as a clothes designer.

Gucci started his fashion journey as a luggage manufacturer and producing high-end travel goods for the wealthy people of Italy.

In November 2020, Gucci’s creative director Allesandro Michele showcased his latest collection for Spring/Summer 2021.

Due to current events, the collection was shown at GucciFest, a digital fashion and film festival hosted by the label.

Gucci’s Spring-Summer 2021 collection features bold contrasting colours, exciting patterns, and retro-inspired designs, and is perfect if you want a summer wardrobe that will set you apart from the crowd.

Michele captures modern and vintage perfectly in his designs, combining baseball tees with retro shorts and flowing skirts, mixing the 70’s and the 2010’s.

Anything from this collection will make a great addition to your summer style.

Versace

Versace is one of the leading fashion brands because the designs are quality, bold, and unique.

Gianni Versace founded the label in Milan in 1978, and since then the brand has expanded across the globe.

Although Versace has its own strong and recognisable identity, the label joined Capri Holdings Limited in 2018, forming a new global luxury fashion group with Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo.

In a typical Versace collection, you’ll find unique clothing designs, jewellery, watches, eyewear, fragrances, and even home furnishings - all of which bear the iconic Medusa logo.

The Spring/ Summer 2021 collection transports you underwater to a utopian settlement populated by strong and confident men and women.

From shell necklaces to starfish embroidery, this conceptual collection epitomizes aquatic life, so you’re certain to find the perfect piece whether you’re walking along the boardwalk, relaxing on the beach, or living the yacht life.

With starfish and sealife patterns, sequin dresses and abstract prints, the Versacepolis collection is a great place to look to update your summer wardrobe.

Prada

Prada is one of the most notable luxury brands in the industry.

Mario Prada launched the luxury label in 1913 in Milan as a leather goods firm.

However, the company didn’t make an impact on the fashion industry until the label was taken over by Mario’s granddaughter Miuccia Prada in 1978.

One of the first widely successful designs was a black nylon backpack featuring a stylish triangular silver label, and from there the brand rocketed.

From Europe to America and Japan, Prada soon became a name known by billions.

The style draws on northern Italian traditions of elegance and attention to detail, perfecting the balance between classic and retro, frumpy and eccentric.

The 2021 Spring/ Summer collection features modern patterns in a classic style.

The collection features bold, eccentric designs on frill-free, smartly mirroring the mood of the moment.

From built-in bags and extra pockets to kitten heels and retro sunglasses, Prada has set another fashion milestone.

Burberry

Like many well-known fashion labels, Burberry didn’t start as a fashion brand.

In 1870, Thomas Burberry created a durable, waterproof material called gabardine, which was used to make the Trench Coat - used in army uniforms and by Roald Amundsen, the first man to reach the South Pole.

In 1998, Roberto Menichetti was hired as creative director, and he launched the luxury ready-to-wear catwalk collection Prorsum (which means forwards in Latin).

Other collections include Brit, which is perfect for casual weekend wear, and London, which is designed for smart work attire.

In 2021, Burberry sells much more than just clothes. From footwear to eyewear, cosmetics to fragrances, there’s a Burberry item for any occasion.

The 2021 Spring/Summer collection features sparkling dresses, crystal-studded pieces, and daring accessories, making pretty much anything from this collection perfect for summer festivals.

As well as bold and bright colours, the collection also features flowing white designs, which adds an essence of grounded simplicity - perfect for a hot summers day.
